“In the early 1980s I was playing at a restaurant between Burlington and Lake Geneva Wisconsin named Johnny Reynolds Restaurant. It was a 60s modern décor fine foods kind of place. The cocktail bar separated the dining area from the lounge area. The lounge area was a large room that had huge almost floor to ceiling windows on two sides that looked out over the serene farm country the place was situated in. There was a nice hardwood dance floor and the X-66 organ I played was on a small stage facing out from the windowless wall. From my point of view I saw many dancers attempt to dance the samba but I will always remember one particular couple who danced it beautifully. He always tipped me with $2 bills of which you dont see these days.”
